I didn’t write this book! Yes, I put pen to paper but the inspiration, storyline, and truths from the spirit world all came from spirit guides during serene meditation.
I was introduced to meditation 40 years ago while practicing martial arts. As a young high-strung type-A business salesperson, I dismissed the idea that meditation could ever help me. I couldn’t sit still and calm my mind for one minute let alone several hours. Not to mention, I was too busy for that nonsense. Luckily, my instructors implored me to try it in small doses and keep extending my time in consciousness. It was arduous but I persisted and began to see the difference meditation made in my life.
Today I can transcend into a quiet meditative state quickly and for hours at a time. Meditation has changed my life, made me a better person all around, and created this book. I’m not sure why spirit guides chose me to share this message with the world but I’m grateful. Their knowledge and guidance awe me and continue to help me live a better life.
Spirit guides shared the concept of this book with me during quiet meditation on the Big Island of Hawaii. My wife and I were vacationing at the Kona Sheraton Resort. I started each day meditating from a natural seat carved out of the black lava cliff over a crashing ocean surf. There, a manuscript took shape in my mind, then over several years and countless hours of meditation, it became this book that I am proud to share with you
Author's Note
I wrote this fictional story to convey insights from Spiritual masters of the present and past. Insights from visionaries like Buddha, Deepak Chopra, Ramdas, and other Yogis. They share visions of Spiritual planes and life after our brief Earth adventure, along with life lessons we all need to enjoy an extraordinary existence.
I chose a time frame for this story, 1211, when there was no organized religion. No one to taint or mold our beliefs and Spirit. The only people in the area were the “original people,” the Anishinaabe. They were, and are to this day, very Spiritual people. Their true Spirit comes from their hearts and souls, not books or preaching.
As a white male, I won’t pretend to know their culture as intimately as their own people. I have studied this beautiful culture in our local libraries, read articles and books from their own resource center, and consulted with the native people of the area. They are very Spiritual people and have always understood that life continues indefinitely.
That is the core value of this book, along with lessons one can use to live a joyful life of peace and harmony.
I’d like to thank Julie for gently pushing me to finish this book and get it out to the world. Nudging me along while on earth and even more so from heaven has inspired me to no end. You were a force on the earth plane and even more so from the spirit world. Thank you for bringing my spirit guides to help me with this project.
My new love, and wife, Angela has inspired me as well. Your love and patience with my endless questions about grammatical issues, word choices, and punctuation as I toiled with the book, I’m sure was like avoiding a persistent mosquito.
Thank you, my children, Tyler, Claire and Madison, for allowing me the time to concentrate on the book when I should have been hanging with you. I love you so much.
Thank you to my wonderful editors, Steve Miller, Diane Button, Carrie Bolin, and Stephanie Clark for all your hard work to make me look like I knew what I was doing.
Thank you to my VP-do all, Deb Jason, for coaching me through the trials and tribulations of the “word” program that makes no sense to me.
And to Mark Button and Better World Publishing for helping me get off my ass and get the book out there.
