Meditation for type A personality (Relaxing)

Once you are in a position that is comfortable for you, close your eyes and take in a deep breath. This will normally result in a big yawn. That’s how deep you need to breath during meditation and anytime you think about it during the day. For me, the first five breaths normally result in yawns.

During the first long exhale drop your left shoulder then your right shoulder. I mean, physically draw them down with the wait of your arms. You will feel them move down and back. During the second exhale rotate your neck slowly form side to side releasing tension. I have to do this several times during the initial breaths because it’s where I keep most of my stress. As a type A, you most like do as well.

Next, concentrate on relaxing each part of your body independently with every breath. One breath at a time. Slow down type A. Take your time. Relax your left arm, then your right arm. Your left hand, then your right hand. Breathe in to your spinal column relaxing it. Relax your left hip, then your right hip. Keep going all the way to your feet and toes.

Now you are ready to meditate. Breathe.
